Abstract

While this Integrating of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in autonomous vehicles has opened up new opportunities for the, automobile industry, but it also brings enormous security challenges. The sheer number of connected devices within the automotive ecosystem can introduce feasible exploitable vulnerabilities. This paper investigates how the security of IoT ecosystems in autonomous vehicles can be strengthened using AI agents. AI agents can analyze data patterns and detect anomalies that could indicate potential vulnerabilities, helping to maintain the integrity of the vehicle's control systems and sensitive information. With data available until the proposed cybersecurity strategy involves an end-to-end layered defense with additional AI-based anomaly detection, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, and predictive analytics. They also talk about how AI agents help secure communication of data, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) exchanges, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Not only is this method about the safety of self-driving cars from cyber-attacks but also their drivers, passengers and connected infrastructure. The research exemplifies how Artificial Intelligence could be utilized as an indispensable tool to improve the security of Internet of Things environment, particularly with the increasing momentum of the automobile market.
